Current PA Referees

Powerlifting Australia is moving toward accreditation in the National Officiating Programme, with a target commencement of the beginning of 2010. In the meantime PA has reviewed our list of accredited referees. The following classification is as at 15 March 2009 and will stand through to 1 January 2010, subject to promotions by those who complete exams to go to one level or another, or demotions to deletions due to any non-completion of updating, inactivity or non-registration in 2009 -

Where referees have moved from grouping to another, that has been on the basis of time of initial accreditation, remaining active and performance.

Also in 2009 all referees will have to complete an update session, to be conducted by Pam Cutjar or her nominee. This will be a practical assessment and feedback and can result in demotion or recommendation to sit the exams for the next level; however to move from Provisional to full National you have to have been Provisional for at least two years. Category referees also have to do an update session, but those are conducted by the IPF. You will be contacted directly re your update session for 2009.

Once all classifications are confirmed by the end of 2009, the system will then move into the ASC Officiating Programme.
